Justin Gaethje has pulled no punches towards Conor McGregor after the UFC superstar launched a scathing attack on social media.

McGregor, 31, took to Twitter earlier this week and called out the likes of Tony Ferguson, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dustin Poirier and Gaethje.

The Irish UFC superstar shockingly claimed that he would "f*****g butcher" Gaethje and knock his teeth out and turn them into a necklace.

"Justin, there is no danger in a man that hugs legs, we all know," McGregor tweeted.

"Try and dance around what the real threat is here all you want. I am going to f*****g butcher you.

"Your teeth. I'm going to put them on a f*****g necklace. Speak on my skills as a father? You are f*****g dead."

Gaethje, 31, has finally hit back at McGregor and warned the 'Notorious' that he is 'losing his clout.'

The 'Highlight' tweeted: "Isn't it ironic that this dude is on his knees. Careful @TheNotoriousMMA you are losing your clout. @DustinPoirier is sitting there ready to go like I was for the last 3 years."

The newly-crowned interim lightweight champ also tweeted out a compilation of him calling out McGregor several times and wanting to sign a fight with him.

Following McGregor's infamous attack on the bus at UFC 223's media day in 2018, Gaethje said: "I want to fight him."

Fast-forward a year later and Gaethje, who sealed a sensational victory over Tony Ferguson last week, said he wanted to fight McGregor in Ireland.

"I want to fight him in Ireland. I want to fight," he explained.

"I know it's not going to happen in Ireland, but that's my dream to go over there and be in that sort of chaos.

"That's what f*****g wakes me up every day. I'm going out there, I'll stand and knock him out."

Gaethje has not backed down from his desire to fight McGregor and called him out for being "scared" last October.

The 'Highlight' said: "I believe he is scared to fight the fight he has to fight against me. I think he's looking for a shoo-in."

Gaethje claims that his multiple callouts are part of his plans to draw the Irishman out for a showdown inside the octagon.

"I'm trying reverse psychology, I'm trying to be his friend," he said.

"I'm trying every f*****g route that there is to draw this man out."
