Stacked UFC 251 To Feature Three Huge Title Fights, Will Take Place On 'Fight Island'

Stacked UFC 251 To Feature Three Huge Title Fights, Will Take Place On 'Fight Island'

UFC 251 is expected to have three huge title bouts and will take place on 'Fight Island' on July 11.

The mysterious 'Fight Island' is set to play host to UFC 251 on July 11 and the super-card will feature three UFC title fights, according to ESPN.

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is set to headline UFC 251 against an unnamed opponent with the promotion also targeting a featherweight title clash between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. The other championship bout in the works is Petr Yan vs. Jose Aldo for the vacant UFC bantamweight title.

The original plan was for Usman to defend his belt versus BMF champion Jorge Masvidal. But the UFC and 'Gamebred' are currently embroiled in a dispute over pay.

So, per ESPN, Gilbert Burns, who beat Tyron Woodley at UFC Fight Night, is the front-runner to face 'The Nigerian Nightmare'.

All three match-ups aren't official for UFC 251, but those are the plans for the July pay-per-view event.
