Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager has hit out at Conor McGregor's improved physique and claimed that he looks like 'a blew-out balloon.'

McGregor's return to the UFC is two weeks away and his plans for 2020 end with a rematch against the Russian.

But the current lightweight champ's manager Ali Abdelaziz has been quick to attack McGregor and has targeted his physique.

Speaking to TMZ Sport, he explained McGregor's physique means nothing, as similar praise was given to him ahead of the fight with Khabib back in October 2018.

"Listen, his coaches before the fight (with Khabib) said: 'He's ready, he's gonna knock Khabib out inside three rounds, he's never been in better shape.' And after that, they said: they had a horrible camp, his food was like a balloon. They're liars.

"He looks like a blew-out balloon. He's a bodybuilder. That's what I think. He's getting no love from us."

They are very bold claims to make considering how seriously 'Notorious' seems to be taking his return .

Abdelaziz also quashed the rumours of a potential rematch between his client and McGregor, something the latter has been pushing for.

"Listen, Dana's the greatest promoter in history (and) I respect the man very much," he said.

"He has to make people care about Conor. And by mentioning Khabib's name, he is making Conor more relevant. It's OK. He promote, can do whatever. Khabib has a plan, Dana has a plan, sometimes we'll get upset, sometimes we'll agree. But business moves on."

He also went on to claim he thinks McGregor may lose to Donald Cerrone in his return fight at UFC 246.

"Conor's not on our radar. He might lose to "Cowboy" as far as I understand. I think he might lose."

The comments come just a day after McGregor hinted the Russian is 'trembling' at the thought of a rematch.

The 31-year-old didn't hold back, telling The Mac Life:

"He is trembling. That man is trembling.

"He doesn't want it. He doesn't want it. You get it and he's trying not to lose it again. I just smell sh*t. That's all it is. He's afraid and that's it.

"But everyone wants it. The boss wants it, Dana [White] wants it, we all want it. So he can run but he cannot hide. I look forward to it."

Do you think McGregor will defeat Cerrone on January 18?
