Khabib Nurmagomedov Gains Ridiculous Amount Of Weight Ahead Of UFC 242

Khabib Nurmagomedov has gained a massive eight kilograms since weighing in on Friday for UFC 242.

The UFC lightweight king has put on over a stone ahead of his title defence against Dustin Poirier in Abu Dhabi, per TASS.

He's gone from 155lbs (11.1 stone) to 172lbs (12.2 stone) in the space of 24 hours. He's fully hydrated and refueled ahead of his anticipated return.

Nurmagomedov sparked rumours of potentially not making weight after failing to take part in the open workouts and missing UFC media day.

But the 30-year-old tipped the scales at 155lbs to make his main-event bout official. He had to strip naked and use the hoop to hit the championship limit on Friday morning.

Speaking after the ceremonial weigh-ins, he explained why he didn't answer questions earlier in the week.

"He asked me yesterday, I don't come to media [day]. I said I come but I don't talk with media. I come, stare down, and I leave. But why I don't talk with media? Because three months, same questions," Nurmagomedov revealed.

"Father? What do you think about Dustin? What do you think? You respect him? No? How was your training camp?

"90 percent the same thing. Right now, same thing.

"Right now, I want to leave but they say no, you have to go.

"You guys have 90 percent same questions. How many times I give answer about my father? Maybe for this week 15 or 20. One question."
