Mike Tyson has encouraged Francis Ngannou to talk trash to his rivals in order to land a UFC title shot.

The UFC heavyweight star joined Tyson in a recent episode of the boxing legend's podcast 'Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson.'

And the former world heavyweight champion gave some excellent advice to Ngannou on how to open up new opportunities.

"You've got to go out there and make challenges," the 53-year-old told Ngannou.

"You've got to make your challenge here. Go and talk. Make challenges with these guys. Put them on television shows.

"Go on television shows and say, 'Why am I not fighting? I know you're scared.'"

'Iron' Mike added: "You should go, 'Everybody is scared of me in the UFC. Have pride for your family. Your mother, your father, your sister, your children know you're a coward. Show your family some pride. Put pride on your family's name, you coward. Your family name is going down. You're the head of your family and you're a coward. ... Think about your family. This is what you think? That means I can have your wife. This is my family now. If you're not going to fight me, this is my family now.'

"You're a kind man. I'm a kind man, but I do it to get in their heads. I had to get in people's heads."

Ngannou is fresh off thrashing Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds at UFC 249 last weekend. He's riding an impressive four-fight winning streak which includes first round victories over Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, Junior dos Santos and, of course, Rozenstruik.

Despite his terrific form, the French-Cameroonian may have to wait for a shot at UFC gold with the promotion set to book a trilogy bout between champion Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier.
