Nate Diaz's headline clash with Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 could be for the 'Baddest Motherf**ker' belt after an attempt to patent the phrase.
UFC owners ZUFFA LLC have filed paperwork to the US Patent and Trademark Office for the term which Diaz and Masvidal have made popular.
According to journalist Darren Rovell, the UFC "plan to offer an event under the name, call a championship belt the 'baddest motherf**ker' belt and plans to sell those belts."

Diaz, 34, returned to the octagon after three years out and beat Anthony Pettis in Anaheim in August.
After the fight, he called out Masvidal in his press conference to 'defend his belt'.
Diaz said: "Now we're fighting for the baddest-motherf**ker-in-the-game belt. And that's mine!
"So I'd like to defend that against Jorge Masvidal, so if he wants to be the baddest motherf**ker, that's how we gonna do it.
"I'm going to take what's mine. That's what I'm talking about, the baddest motherf**ker title. I need that belt made as soon as possible."

And UFC bosses not only granted his wish in making the fight with Masvidal for UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden in November, they set the wheels in motion for the coveted belt.
After the fight was made, Masvidal tweeted: "Hey Nate Diaz, f**k these losers. See you at MSG. BMF title on the line."
