The 'twister' is one of MMA's most devastating submission techniques due to the pressure it puts on the neck and spine.
It's the first time in eight years that the move has won a match, with 'The Korean Zombie' Chan Sung Jung defeating Leonard Garcia with it at UFC Fight Night 24.
Fans on Twitter reacted to seeing the legendary move.
'Thug Nasty' played his opponent to perfection as he countered Sayles' limp kick down the middle.
