UFC Fans Amazed By 'Knockout Kick From Hell' In Dana White Contender Series

You need to stand out on Dana White's Contender Series to have a chance of land a UFC contract.
And few competitors in the history of the show have made an impression like Ignacio Bahamondes did on Wednesday.
The latest edition of White's Contender Series saw welterweight Bahamondes render opponent Edson Gomez unconscious with a devastating front leg kick to the face.

White's Contender Series sees up and coming MMA fighters compete in the hope of securing a contract from the UFC president.
And Bahamondes guaranteed himself a deal when he flattened Gomez in their second-round fight in Las Vegas in what will undoubtedly be a contender for MMA's 'Knockout of the Year'.
The bout was 23-year-old Chilean Bahamondes' second appearance on the Contender Series and he'll now be an official member of the UFC roster when he next steps into the Octagon.
The win was Bahamondes' eighth career victory by knockout and took his overall record to 11-3.

Bahamondes has now won consecutive fights, and seven of his last eight as a spot in the loaded UFC welterweight division seems like a very safe bet.
Gomez, the current King of the Cage welterweight champion, had his three fight winning streak snapped and entered the cage after missing weight by three pounds.

Another man to secure a deal and a finish victory on the night was New Zealander Carlos Ulberg.
The light-heavyweight stopped Bruno Oliveira with an impressive one-two punch combination in the main event and now also finds himself an active UFC fighter.
