Dana White has made a bold comparison for one of his newest UFC stars, comparing a winner from his Contender Series to boxing legend Mike Tyson.

The UFC president's show looks to find unsigned talent which he might sign up to the UFC after a series of fights and this week one fighter earned such an honour, after just his fourth professional fight.

Cameroonian fighter Tafon Nchukwi earned himself a contract this week and with it an instant comparison with Iron Mike from White.

"I don't know what more you could look for in a guy who is going to be a professional fighter," White said about Nchukwi, "This guy is mean, aggressive, [has] unbelievable power and cardio to back it up. The thing that scares me is he's 4-0; he doesn't have a lot of experience. He fought a guy tonight who has 10 fights.

"Normally, I would take a guy like this and put him in a developmental program, but he scared the s**t out of me tonight and I'm going to bring him into the UFC.

"This guy reminds me of....you know, like a Tyson type figure. Physically, visually and obviously with his fighting style. He's 4-0 and with four knockouts. I didn't see the first three but the last one was one of the most vicious knockouts I have ever seen."

It might not have been with his fists but Nchukwi's KO of Al Matavao in the second round feels pretty Tyson-esque in fairness.

The new UFC fighter and his family moved from Africa when he was just 10-years-old. The Cameroonian dropped out of college to chase his dream of being a mixed martial artist.

He's had just four fights in one year as a professional and already he's been given a contract with UFC, that's a long way to come in such a short time for the 25-year-old, whose fights have all ended inside the distance.

White said he was scared into offering Nchukwi a contract and you can pretty much see the moment that happened.

If the latest UFC signing can have anywhere near as impressive a professional record as Tyson had in his career then we might be about to see something very special.
