Conor McGregor is bigger than the UFC according to Matchroom Sports Head, Eddie Hearn. The Boxing Promoter expressed his desire to work with McGregor in the future after McGregor jokingly tweeted about him in October.

When it comes to combat sports, and specifically combat sports promotion, there's normally only one name in people's minds.

Eddie Hearn has become a massive name in combat sports just from his promoting with him being behind the likes of Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte, and YouTube Star, KSI.

Hearn has re-expressed his desire to work with Conor McGregor though.

McGregor recently made his long-awaited return to the UFC, beating Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone within a 40-second knockout.

The Notorious originally tweeted a joke at Hearn's expense back in October.

Hearn responded to the tweet back in October saying:

"It's quite amusing. It's like one of those things where you look at your phone, see all the notifications and think oh s**t, what's happened now. Conor McGregor's tweeted about you."

"I said he's a legend. He is. I dunno, I'm guessing he's going back to MMA. Whatever he's involved with, any chance to be associated with him in his promotion.. it would be a dream to promote him."

However, the Head of Matchroom Boxing was asked again recently about the possibility of working with McGregor and reiterate he'd love to work with McGregor, and even saying he's bigger than the UFC.

"I'll dance for Conor McGregor all he wants!"

"We're always here if Conor ever wants to work with us. I'm sure he's doing his own thing anyway. For me when I look at fighters when I look up brands when I look at self-promoters Conor McGregor is on top of the tree."

"In that respect there has never been anyone like him. The UFC was a brand and it didn't matter who you were, you were never bigger that the UFC. But now, Conor McGregor is bigger than the UFC, that's the reality. He is the UFC that's just it and I respect him."

Hearn recently revealed that his client Anthony Joshua might be fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo soon, the original location of the iconic "Rumble in the Jungle".
