Diego Godin looks set to complete a sensational move to Manchester United.

The Atletico Madrid man is just 6/4 to make United his next port of call, as Ivory Coast international Eric Bailly is set to leave in January.

The 32-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer, however, Godin decided to stay in Madrid.

Although, it is now being reported that United have made him their top target in January and are willing to meet his £20million release clause, while the Uruguayan is understood to be interested in a move to the Premier League as it could be his last chance due to his age.

According to the Star, the Red Devils hierarchy have held negotiations with Godin and are confident a deal will be made to bring him to Manchester when the transfer window opens in less than two months.

United have the fourth worst defensive record in the league this season having already conceded 21 goals, only one less than drop-zone side Huddersfield, and Mourinho will be hoping the experienced centre-half can put an end to their leaky defence.

Meanwhile, it's a two-horse race for Bailly, with Tottenham 3/1 favourites ahead of Arsenal (4/1).

The highly-rated young centre-back has fallen out-of-favour at Old Trafford having played just five times in the league and once in the Champions League so far this season.

The 24-year-old hasn't made a Premier League appearance since he was subbed off less than 20 minutes into the Newcastle game as Jose Mourinho's side were 2-0 down, however, they ended up winning 3-2.

Although, it understood the Portuguese boss is not willing to let Bailly depart for another Premier League club.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "It looks as though Mourinho's prayers for a world class centre-half will be answered in January with the seemingly imminent arrival of Godin."
