Following England's first ever penalty shootout win at a World Cup, with the tournament's draw opening up favourably for the Three Lions, bookmakers have slashed the odds on manager Gareth Southgate being knighted.
Paddy Power now make it just 6/1 that Southgate is honoured in the New Year's honours list announced at the end of the year - which would've been 250/1 before the World Cup.
Captain Harry Kane is in pole position to win the Golden Boot at the tournament, having fired England to their first World Cup quarter final for a decade, and is himself 16/1 to be knighted.

And the Tottenham talisman is odds-on to win this year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award (8/11) - where the English football team is now the overwhelming favourite to win the Team of the Year gong (1/5).
With England fever in full-swing, Southgate's men are now 4/1 third-favourites to win the World Cup, behind Brazil and France - and, if they do, it'd only be appropriate for Baddiel & Skinner to re-release England anthem Three Lions.
After the comedians shared an image together on Twitter after England's defeat of Colombia, Paddy Power make it 4/1 that they'll release a 2018 edition of their classic hit - cutting the odds from 40/1.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: "So many jokes, so many sneers, but all those oh-so nears could be a thing of the past, as England find themselves in an incredible position.

"If you'd offered Gareth Southgate this route to the final pre-tournament he wouldn't have snapped your hand off. He'd have politely but efficiently removed it from the arm without a brilliantly prepared procedure, his now-trademark waistcoat remaining intact throughout, as he softly spoke you through what he was doing."
