Liverpool's busy January looks set to continue after the £75 million arrival of Virgil van Dijk and the £142 million departure of Philippe Coutinho.

The Reds' have been one of the most active clubs in this month's transfer window and could yet conclude another major piece of business before the window shuts next Wednesday.

WATCH: The transfers that never were...

Bookies have slashed odds on Monaco winger Thomas Lemar arriving at Anfield, this month, as a replacement for the now departed Coutinho.

Lemar infamously came close to joining Arsenal on transfer deadline day, last summer, only for a £90 million deal to fall through at the last minute, infuriating Gunners' fans.

But the young French winger could finally make his way to the Premier League, with odds dramatically shortening on him moving to Merseyside.

The Reds had originally been put off a deal for the winger after they were quoted £90 million for his services, wanting instead to spend somewhere in the region of £75 million for the France international.

BetStars Director of Trading Ian Marmion has said on the reduced odds, "Liverpool's long-term target Thomas Lemar is edging ever closer to Anfield and the Reds are now priced at 5/2 to sign the French winger.

"The 22-year-old has long since been admired by Jurgen Klopp and would be a great replacement for Philippe Coutinho with the Monaco star capable of adding even more pace and dynamism to an already strong Liverpool attack.

"Serie A champions Juventus are also looking to freshen their attacking line and Lemar could be the perfect candidate.

"They are priced at 4/1 to bring the Frenchman over to Turin.

"Arsenal and Barcelona have also expressed their interest in the forward and are available at 8/1 apiece.

"Chelsea and Tottenham have Lemar on their radar but are priced at the lengthier 10/1 and 12/1 respectively."

Since helping Monaco to Ligue Un title success, last season, Lemar has become one of the most sought after talents in Europe. But where will he be by midnight on Wednesday?
