US Open tennis star charges men fee to go on a date with her and makes millions from side hustle

The player is set to take part in the women's singles event at Flushing Meadows, but makes a hefty amount away from the court.

A US Open hopeful makes a fortune from charging men to date her alongside her on-court exploits.

On Thursday, America’s Sachia Vickery will compete against Germany’s Ella Seidel in a bid to enter the US Open women’s singles draw, which will take place later in the day.

This year, both the men’s and women’s tournaments come with a prize of $5m (£3.7m) for the winner, $2.5m (£2.17m) for the runners-up and $1.26m (£900k) for those who reach the semi-finals.

However, Vickery, who is ranked number 559, is not short of cash as she also makes a fortune from other ventures.

Alongside being a professional tennis player, the 30-year-old sells adult content via OnlyFans, having signed up to the platform earlier this year.

For $12.99 a month, subscribers can view adult content deemed too spicy for Instagram, according to Vickery’s bio on the site.

As reported by the Mail, the tennis star has made around $2m (£1.47m) from her career as a professional, but still charges men a $1,000 (£741) deposit fee to date her.

“I no longer date for free due to the behaviour of men. I now require a pre-date deposit send me 1,000, and we can make it happen my Cash App is $Sachiavick,” she said during an Instagram Q&A earlier this week.

Of course, like most OnlyFans creators, Vickery has found out that not everyone approves and recently faced criticism from some traditional tennis fans.

But during an appearance on the Black Spin Global podcast earlier this year, the 30-year-old explained how she felt “empowered” since joining the platform despite the naysayers.

“I've always pushed boundaries,” she said.

“I've always been outspoken about racial hate I get online, and bodyshaming. I'm very open about a lot of stuff.

“I'm still playing tennis, my career is still going, but I also want to do things outside of tennis. I'm starting to explore more opportunities on social media.”

The American added: “Obviously, there are levels to OnlyFans, you have athletes like Nick [Kyrgios] and Alex [Muller] who are going to be posting tennis content for the most part, and then you have the other complete extreme, which I'm not. I'm in that middle gap.

“I set it up in January, and it just took off. Being a tennis player definitely helped my marketing. I'm at a stage where I don't do the absolute most on there, but I'm comfortable as I need to be. I'm doing really well.

“Obviously, I'm going to get some negative feedback, but that's just normal. Whatever you do in life, there's always going to be some criticism. If I was doing nothing, I'd be getting criticism, so I might as well get on the platform and make money while I'm at it.”
