One of the more exciting additions coming to FIFA 19 is the new 'House Rules' feature, which will turn your standard Kick Off match into a variety of unique game modes.
Modes like these are something that we've never seen in FIFA before, such as getting rid of refs or having heads and volleys only, and they'll provide some brilliant gameplay when competing with your mates.
Here's a list of all the House Rules coming to the traditional Kick Off mode:

Survival
In what might be the most interesting rule set, Survival will see you start with a regular game of footie. However, it changes when one team scores, as the team who got the goal will have a player removed from their 11-man team.
This will keep going until someone whittles their team down to seven men, and they will be crowned the winner. An actual rule in football says that if a team gets down to seven men, from either red cards or injuries with no subs left, they're immediately disqualified, so it's a pretty cool twist that you get a win rather than a loss.
No Rules

This is pretty much what it says on tin, and it will finally let us play like Sergio Ramos does week in week out. The No Rules selection pretty much gets rid of refs and linesmen, so literally anything goes.
Fouls, offsides, handballs (if they're turned on), you name it - there are no holds barred in this rule set. Whether you want to take advantage of the leniency by chomping down your opposition or hanging around the goal like a fly around shit, it's up to you! Just make sure you're as dirty as possible.

Long Range
This isn't completely off the rails like the last couple, and generally sticks to normal rules quite well. In Long Range mode, you play a regular game of football but every time you hit the back of the net from outside the box, the scoring team will be awarded with two goals.
If goals from outside the keeper's box aren't your thing, you've still got just less than two months of FIFA 18 to get better at it. The rule set doesn't increase the long range shooting of any of the players, so if you want to score a couple of worldies it's probably best to go with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo over N'Golo Kante.
Heads and Volleys

We've all played it; hanging around the penalty box and attempting to get one of our mates lives down to zero so they can get the ball pelted at them (otherwise known as 'red arse'). This version of heads and volleys is slightly different, though.
You play a regular game of footie like the Long Range rule set, but the only goals you can score are - you guessed it - headers or volleys. There's nothing else to it really, so you'd better get practising how to hit that new FIFA 19 Sweet Spot (tap shoot just as the ball connects with your players foot) if you want to score the best volleys.
First To

First To, simply, is the most regular rule set. Instead of having a normal 90-minute time limit, the competing players decide on a score cap and the first to reach however many goals wins the match.
It's quite plain, but it will stop any ball hogging or time wasting as the aim of the game is to grab as many goals as you can, as fast as you can.
And that's pretty much it, except all rule sets can be put into series or legs. This means you could propose whoever wins the most out of three games is the champion, or have home and away legs to make it fair.
