Kyren Wilson’s Emotional Interview After Shock UK Championship Loss Goes Viral

The snooker world number 2 was clearly emotional after his UK Championship exit.

Snooker star Kyren Wilson made an emotional confession during an interview following his shock loss to Elliot Slessor at the UK Championship.

On Tuesday night, snooker world no.2. Wilson was knocked out of the UK Championship after a 6-4 loss to Slessor in a match that saw both men struggle with playing conditions.

Wilson especially appeared to be impacted by the situation as he was seen holding his head in his hands on several occasions during the tough loss.

The result sees Slessor progress to the last 16 at the Barbican in York but puts an end to Wilson's run in the tournament just one year after he beat Jak Jones to win the World Championship for the first time in his career.

And after the surprise loss, Wilson made a incredibly honest admission about his future during an emotional post-match interview.

'The Warrior' is made his professional tour debut in the 2010–11 season and has recently established himself as one of the best players in the world.

But he struggled with the conditions of what appeared to be an old cloth that had been used all day with punishingly tight pockets, he failed to make it to the next round of the UK Championship.

Speaking after the loss, Wilson told TNT Sports: "Hard work, wanted to world to swallow me up, didn't want to go back out after the interval...I just did not want to be out there.

"But people pay good money to come and watch me play snooker so I battled and gave it my all."

Wilson the conditions at the Barbican were 'unplayable,' causing to have issues with his equipment, using three different snooker cues in the tournament alone.

When asked what was next for him, Wilson made a devastating confession, claiming that he felt completely lost and didn't know what the next few weeks would look like for him.

"To be honest, I have no idea what's next for me. I am completely and totally lost," Wilson admitted.

"I've got a wonderful family and that's more important so I'm going to go away and enjoy Christmas, probably get drunk for the next month and see what happens at The Masters."

Wilson is expected to return for The Masters gets underway from Sunday 11 January held at London's Alexandra Palace.
