Eddie Jones single minded pursuit of the number one ranking in the world has taken another step in the right direction with the RFU and the Aviva Premiership agreeing a new £200 million deal.

England's first few months under the Australian has seen them winning the Six Nations at a stroll and grabbing a Grand Slam in the process and following that up with a historic whitewash against Australia 'Down Under.'

The new deal with the Premiership will see England's governing body hand over a record amount to the domestic league as compensation for the players the clubs lose to international duty. Jones will now get to pick a 45 man elite squad in return and they'll be three additional rest weekends for England players.

On top of all that Jones will be able to run two additional two day training camps for his players with one coming in October before the Autumn internationals and the second coming in January before the Six Nations starts.

RFU CEO Ian Ritchie spoke about the new agreement saying, "Eddie was heavily involved and is very happy with the access this gives him to players. This is a true partnership focussed on making English rugby the best in the world for club and country.

"Player welfare, as ever, is a priority for us all, and so further rest periods have been built into the season. The RFU is focussed on investing in Premiership clubs, to ensure they are sustainable, thriving businesses, which will develop players for the national game."

England continue to become stronger as they put the failure of last year's World Cup behind them and head towards trying to win in 2019 in Japan.
