Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has given a brilliant response to his daughter Hollie's relationship with rugby star Joe Marchant.
The daughter of the former Newcastle and England striker turned Match of the Day pundit is a singer-songwriter, while she also has a fashion career with brand Pretty Little Thing.
Hollie, 28, is in a relationship with England star Marchant, who is part of the England Rugby World Cup squad, and plays as a centre for Stade Francais.

Marchant played the whole game on Saturday for England in their semi-final loss to South Africa, which the Red Rose lost narrowly 16-15 to the Springboks.
The pair have been in a relationship since February 2022 and Shearer, the Premier League's all-time record goalscorer, appears to be a fan of his daughter's choice of partner.
He seems to be pleased about the sport he plays too.

When asked how he felt about Hollie dating a rugby player, Shearer replied: "I’m just glad it’s not a footballer."
Hollie now lives in the Paris, following her other half's move to Stade Francais.
She was at the World Cup semi-final last night to support Marchant as England narrowly missed out on a place in the final.

South Africa are now due to play New Zealand, with England facing Argentina in the third-place play-off.
Marchant moved to Top 14 side Stade Francais for the 2023 season, ending a stay of eight years with London side Harlequins.
