Chris Jordan took an incredible catch in the Big Bash League as Perth Scorchers beat Melbourne Renegades.

England all rounder Jordan is just as good at catching as he is with bat and ball when it comes to T20 cricket, some might argue even better in longer formats of the game, and he showed off his prowess on Saturday.

Jordan took a flying catch incredibly getting rid of Dan Christian and reduce Melbourne to 159/6.

It was just the second match of the tournament this season for the Scorchers and the catch came as they were on the verge of beating the Renegades.

Jordan was run out for 0 in Perth's innings but he returned to take two wickets for 30 runs and also took three catches as the Renegades finished on 185/6 and lost by 11 runs.

The 31-year-old Barbados born all rounder will be hoping to make it into the England squad for the T20 World Cup next year and impressed in the recent series in New Zealand.

In two innings he averaged 48 runs with the bat, the third highest for England and took seven wickets at an average of 14.71 with the ball, the most wickets and the lowest average.

The BBL will only help his cause to make it to Australia for the World Cup, especially with catches like Saturday's.
