Why Did Lebron James Snub The Undertaker At Cavs Ceremony?

Why Did Lebron James Snub The Undertaker At Cavs Ceremony?

Tombstone piledriver incoming.

A few weeks back, WWE legend The Undertaker was in attendance for Cleveland Cavaliers' Championship ceremony and was backstage in full gimmick; cloak, hat, the lot.

Taker was there alongside his wife Michelle McCool, Dana Warrior, wife of the late Ultimate Warrior and her daughter.

The Phenom was greeted by a host of Cavs players such as Jamie Jones, Chris Andersen and Richard Jefferson, who were all delighted to see him.

One man who didn't show up to meet him was star player Lebron James, who once sported an Undertaker T-shirt during a press conference and then a training session.

Journalist Joe Verden from Cleveland.com provided reasoning for why the two didn't meet up.

James apparently arrived at the venue before the Deadman and was not aware of the Undertaker's whereabouts - with Lebron in the locker room.

Several other players came out to meet the iconic figure though, so the story there seems a bit iffy.

What would make more sense is the further explanation that James rarely does appointments and meetings unless they know the NBA star or in the instance that it is a young child wanting to meet their idol.

James is one of the most popular sports stars in the world and so any opportunity to generate publicity has to benefit him as well. With a host of cameras and phones at the ready, WWE were evidently looking to get some press through the Undertaker's visit to the Cavs and reports indicate that James isn't a fan of people using him to make money or get fame.

The final line of the article reads:

"He wore an Undertaker T-shirt. For him, that's enough."

Ouch.

I'm calling it now; it's a big game and James is about to shoot the hoop in the last second of the game to give his side the win and suddenly the lights go out, we hear a "bong" and the Undertaker appears before chokeslamming the 31-year old.
