The Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor saga continues to rumble on. Is the fight happening? Well, if it does come to fruition, Roy Jones Jr. wants in on the action, too.

The American boxer wants to fight UFC legend Anderson Silva on the same card if Mayweather vs. McGregor agree to their billion dollar fight.

While the Mayweather and McGregor buzz spark fierce debate between the two sets of combative disciplines, it was the initial talks of Silva and Jones Jr. which prompted such discussion.

The 46-year-old former world champion took to Twitter to make his point known, saying the two mythical bouts would make it the biggest event of all time. It's hard to argue that. Check out his Tweet below:

Silva has also been vocal in the past about wanting to fight Jones inside the squared circle. And following his Tweet, the former reigning UFC middleweight champion took to social media to get his point across as well:

Meanwhile, Silva last fought at UFC 208 where he snapped a two-fight losing skid by controversially out-pointing Derek Brunson. The 41-year-old was coming off the back of defeats to both Michael Bisping and Daniel Cormier.

As for Jones, the ex-pound-for-pound king was also in action recently facing Billy Gunn, capturing the vacant WWF WBF cruiserweight title by TKO'ing his Canadian opponent.

The Jones vs. Silva super-fight failed to materialise because of the latter contract with the UFC which forbids any other bouts outside of the famed Octagon. The same issue which appears to be the stumbling block for Mayweather vs. McGregor.

But if all parties can agree to a mega-fight, then Jones and Silva would be the perfect co-feature!
