Edmond Tarverdyan has outlined Ronda Rousey's comeback training regiment ahead of her UFC return.

Rousey's aura of invincibility was shattered after her shocking upset at UFC 193 to the hands of Holly Holm. The resulting defeat left the former world champion with a series of injuries yet as she recovers, the 29-year-old has entered her comeback training leading up to her anticipated octagon return.

Tarverdyan detailed her training where she goes at high intensity for six hours a day, up to six days per week. Via People he explained the process;

Whenever you participate in stringent physical activity; the good ol' warm-up.

"You're stretching out your hips, shoulders, knees. You're getting a nice warm-up before throwing any punches so you'll be nice and warm to prevent injuries."

A period of the traditional practice, skipping, is executed to get the heart pumping. Then over to the heavy bag honing her striking before moving onto the pads with Tarverdyan.

"When you learn how to throw a punch you're throwing it with your whole body - your hips, your shoulders, your core is tight. You're engaging maximum focus, maximum speed, maximum power."

Her workout will emulate a fight so she'll rack up five-rounds of up to 10 minutes, so double the normal limit, while according to her long-time coach she'll sometimes go up for an hour. Followed by movement drills while carrying a 1kg dumbbell weight.

"It's not much weight so you're not going to get so muscular, but you're going to get toned, you're conditioning your body."

'Rowdy' then completes a session by performing 2000 (!!) crunches and ab routines. Since being dethroned the belt has changed hands three times with Brazilian Amanda Nunes in possession of the 135lbs crown, it's expected she'll receive an immediate title shot upon her return.
