News is breaking that former World number one Maria Sharapova has been suspended from playing tennis for two years, by the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
The ban is back dated to January 2016, when the five time Grand Slam winner tested positive for meldonium, a substance banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) at the start of the year.
The ban can be appealed, although there is no official word as of yet if the 29-year-old Russian plans on doing so.
