Luke Littler's girlfriend Eloise Milburn denies rumours of how her and the 16-year-old dart sensation first met

She's sent a strong statement.

Luke Littler's girlfriend, Eloise Milburn, has addressed rumours surrounding how the couple first met.

The 16-year-old sensation captured everyone's hearts during an incredible rookie appearance at the PDC World Darts Championship.

He defeated Raymond van Barneveld and Rob Cross before coming up short against world number one Luke Humphries at Ally Pally last Wednesday.

It's been a whirlwind month for Littler. His romance with 21-year-old Milburn was made public shortly after his rise to superstardom, bringing unwanted scrutiny.

Milburn has paid tribute to Littler on Instagram and praised how he's handled the pressure.

Along with a picture of her and Littler together, she said: "What a whirlwind of a few weeks it's been! All I can say is I'm incredibly proud of this one has achieved."

'The Nuke' replied with: "In this together".

The couple have been together for seven weeks and last week, a source told the Daily Mail they met via mutual friends on Xbox.

"Eloise loves playing darts and FIFA and so does Luke and they've got a lot in common," the source said. "They started speaking on Xbox and things just developed from there.

"She's a great girl and is a very decent darts and FIFA player herself so you could say that they make the perfect couple because Luke is also very passionate about both things.

"She's very proud of his achievements and is supporting him all the way."

However, Milburn has now confirmed they didn't meet while playing EA FC 24 Pro Clubs.

She posted: "Just confirming we didn't meet on [FIFA Pro] Clubs."

Littler will take part in the Premier League when it kicks off on February 1.

He'll compete alongside Humphries, Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall, Peter Wright, Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price and Michael van Gerwen.

"It's unbelievable," Littler said. "No more development tour. This is it. Playing in the Premier League and comfortably in the (world's top) 32.

"As soon as I came off the stage, did the media and saw the family, my manager pulled me aside and said, 'Do you want to do it?' I said, 'Let's do it, it might not happen again'.

"I'll probably have to take a break maybe from a few ProTours but I knew what was coming as soon as I said yes to the Premier League. This is just going to be an incredible experience."
