Joe Rogan instantly humbled by childhood hero after inviting him on to podcast as he makes shock admission

The Joe Rogan Experience had a very special guest recently.

Joe Rogan was brutally humbled by his childhood hero after finally getting him to appear on his podcast.

The Joe Rogan Experience is one of the biggest podcasts in the world and many A-list celebrities have previously featured on the show.

Over the years, the likes of Donald Trump, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Elon Musk and Snoop Dogg have all had chats with Rogan on the JRE.

It has on average 11 million listens per episode and Rogan signed a lucrative deal with Spotify back in 2020 which is reportedly worth $100 million.

Recently, American actor and comedian Bill Murray was the guest on the show and Rogan revealed that he was a massive fan of the 74-year-old and has been since he was a child.

However, Murray made the honest admission that he had no idea who Rogan was and had never listened to a single episode of his show before.

In a clip that went viral on social media, Rogan began: "Thank you for doing this, this is a huge honour for me; I'm a giant fan, forever, like since I was a kid.

"There's certain people I meet where I go 'Woah' and you're one of those."

Murray then replied: "Well, I have a very different experience. I only know about you from what I've heard. I've never heard your show, I had to ask you, 'Are you Joe?', cause I somehow know you're into fitness and everyone out there seems to be a weightlifter.

"Some people are very excited that I've got to come down here and be on your show, but other people are concerned for me."

At this point, Rogan asked: "Oh, really? Are they? Legitimately?"

Murray explained: "I don't know why, it's the weightlifter thing. When I walked in here and I saw the Hunter Thompson things I automatically thought 'Okay, well this guy can't be a complete disaster.'

"And then I walk down the hall and there's Hunter wearing a hat that I gave him. That is a dog hair hat, that's dog hair."

Murray then said: "Are you filming this too?"

During the show, the pair spoke about each other's life and career.
