Jeremy Clarkson promises to send Luke Littler gift to 'last him until he's 18' if he wins World Championship final

Luke Littler will come up against Luke Humphries in the PDC World Championship final.

Jeremy Clarkson has made an "expensive" promise to Luke Littler ahead of tonight's PDC World Darts Championship final against world number one Luke Humphries.

So far, teenage sensation Littler has recorded wins over Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding, Matt Campbell, Raymond van Barneveld, Brendan Dolan and Rob Cross at this winter's tournament.

The 16-year-old has been nothing short of a sensation in recent weeks but he will face arguably his toughest test on Wednesday against Humphries, who is the marginal favourite.

Humphries, who lifted his first major title at the World Grand Prix in October before defeating Rob Cross in the Grand Slam of Darts final, averaged 108.74 against Scott Williams in his semi-final.

Littler, however, will have the support of millions watching at home, including former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, who has made an alcohol-related promise to the Runcorn-born thrower.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday evening, he wrote: "This may turn out to be expensive but if Luke Littler wins tonight, I’ll give him enough of our brand new 0.3 percent Hawkstone Spa lager to last till he’s 18."

Clarkson has been actively promoting the Hawkstone Spa Lager – a low-alcohol beer that features a minimal alcohol content of just 0.3% – on his social channels of late.

In fact, he recently shared a video of himself enjoying a beer while working out at the gym. “When you’re working out in the gym it’s important to stay hydrated," he said.

Clarkson then takes a sip before adding: “And what I would recommend is Hawkstone new, ultra-low alcohol lager. We’ve called it ‘Spa Lager’ because that’s what it is, a wellness lager. The healthy alternative.”

A description of the new lager on the Hawkstone website reads: “Dry January doesn’t stand a chance this year. Sit back, relax, and pamper yourself with the world’s first wellness lager.

"This one’s been masterfully brewed with loads of fruit and comes in at just 0.3% alcohol. Stress melts away with every sip. It’s zen in a can and absolutely f**king delicious."
