Jake Paul was in floods of tears after seeing his fiance Jutta Leerdam's performance in speed skating at the Winter Olympics.
Leerdam represents the Netherlands in the discipline and won silver at the 2022 showpiece in Beijing in China.
In December, during a 1000m qualifying race to earn a spot on the team, the 27-year-old suffered a fall early on and was reduced to tears as she left the ice.
Speaking to reporters, YouTuber-boxer Paul said it was "really hard" to watch and his "heart is broken" after seeing his other half's setback.
However, Leerdam recovered from the disappointment and was still picked by her country and more than justified her selection in a huge way on Monday night in the 1000m event.
Leerdam won gold with a time of 1:12.31 and also set a new Olympic record in the process. Compatriot Femke Kok had broke the record moments earlier and had to settle for silver, with Miho Takagi taking bronze after beating Leerdam to gold four years ago.
She was full of emotion after crossing the line but it was Paul who was an emotional wreck in the stands. Having had kisses blown his way, the 28-year-old was full of tears as he proudly watched his future wife make history and celebrated with his family.
After controversial posts about Bad Bunny and Puerto Rico following his Super Bowl performance, quickly jumped on his official X account to share an emotional post about his partner's incredible triumph.
In a post ahead of the event, he told Leerdam that "today is your day baby" and said "go get em champ".
Reacting to the win, Paul wrote: "Juttttttttttaaaaaaaa. I can’t stop crying. You did it my love. Olympic Gold. God is great and so are you."
The couple went public with their relationship in April 2023, announcing their engagement nearly two years later in March 2025.
