Fans have a theory about Taylor Swift's 'superstition' which helped Travis Kelce qualify for another Super Bowl

Kelce, 35, helped his Kansas City Chiefs side to victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Taylor Swift watched on from the stands as Travis Kelce helped his Kansas City Chiefs side to a 32-29 win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday evening – and fans have a new theory.

Swift, 35, was in attendance at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, as the Chiefs booked their place at Super Bowl 59.

The final gives the Kansas-based side the chance to capture a historic ‘three-peat’ having previously triumphed at the last two Super Bowls.

It is the fifth time in six seasons that the Chiefs have reached the NFL’s ultimate match. And aside from the nail-biting action which unfolded on the field, fans were keenly keeping an eye on Swift.

The American singer found herself on the pitch before she embraced Kelce following the victory.

Previously, Travis’ brother Jason explained his theory on why the Chiefs have performed so well in this campaign.

"I kind of feel like you guys are the ‘Angels in the Outfield,’ there’s some unknown [conspiracy]…” said Jason on ‘New Heights’ last year.

‘Angel in the Outfield’ is a film in which a young boy pleads with God for a real family as well as a victory for his favourite basketball team. Angels descend and give him a helping hand.

“Here you go with this f**king Tayvoodoo s**t,” joked Travis.

For those who are unfamiliar with the term ‘Tayvoodoo’ it is defined below by Urban Dictionary.

“A sudden wave of karma resulting in crippling of mental/physical health or a sudden drop in popularity/fame”, with the cause as “attacking/feuding the 10× GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift”.

Now, following Kelce’s success on Sunday, fans have a theory of their own and it may involve something you didn’t expect.

Several ‘Swifties’ on social media noticed that the Pennsylvania-born pop star wore a black and gold monogram jacket, a black beanie, a pleated miniskirt, red tights and ankle boots.

And you may be wondering why this is relevant. Well, the 35-year-old also sported this outfit at last year’s AFC Championship game – causing fans on social media to believe the garments are a good luck charm for Kelce’s side.

One fan said: "Wait is this the same skirt from last arc champs??? Oh she's def superstitious."

Another added: "I feel like Taylor is superstitious like us and will wear her hair curly and similar if not same outfit from when they won last time."

While a third commented: "Is she wearing the same pleated skirt as last year??? Superstitious queen."
