Fans are all saying the same thing about Rihanna's Super Bowl performance and Kanye

Fans are all saying the same thing about Rihanna's Super Bowl performance and Kanye

Rihanna performed during halftime of the Kansas City Chiefs and Philidelphia Eagles meeting at Super Bowl LVII and stole the show.

Fans all noticed one part of Rihanna's halftime show performance, during Super Bowl LVII, with the artist causing some controversy.

Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles put on the kind of exciting Super Bowl display that deserved an equally entertaining halftime show.

Certainly Rihanna delivered that, as she made her first live performance in nearly seven years, at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

The 34-year-old didn't have the traditional guest during her performance, instead relying on her own talents, and it was easy to see why.

The Barbadian wowed those inside the stadium, as well as fans watching at home, with a medley of her most famous tracks from down the years, starting on a platform suspended above the pitch and her stage.

However, it wasn't just her own songs that she performed but also threw in two tracks from Kanye West, singing All of the Lights and This Town.

The rapper has always been a controversial figure but his recent antisemitic comments, including showing admiration for Adolf Hitler, caused wide condemnation of the artist, including a UFC fighter calling him out.

Fans were quick to notice the two Kanye tracks and Rihanna was actually praised for taking them for herself.

"Rihanna prying 'All of the Lights' from Kanye's cold, antisemitic hands on live television, you love to see it," one said.

A second added, "Rihanna managing to pull off one of the greatest halftime shows while performing TWO Kanye songs in 2023 is hilarious."

"Would love to know how many meetings the NFL PR folks had about Rihanna singing the chorus of a Kanye song," a third half joked.

With a smiley face attached, another noted, "Rihanna performing all of Kanye's hits without Kanye."

On 'Rih Rih' not including any surprise guests in her performance, another said, "Rihanna said I don’t need Drake, Jay Z or Kanye - this is my halftime show."

And on the same comment a final fan summed it up perfectly, posting, "Of course Rihanna wasn’t gonna bring Kanye out, that would literally have been career suicide lol."

Having West turn up definitely would have been one way to put a huge downer on the whole thing, Rihanna performing with no guest really made it special though.
