Fans are shocked to find out this American football player is only 12 years old

Fans can’t quite get their heads around the fact that American football player, Jeremiah Johnson is only 12 years old.

Last weekend, Johnson was awarded the U12 MVP honours at the Youth National Championships in Miami, however, people cannot believe he is actually 12.

The young football star’s appearance is way beyond his age, he had a moustache and he also appears to have multiple tattoos on his right arm. In general, he appears to be much bigger than an average 12-year-old.

You can watch the footage of him confirming his age here.

In the above video, Johnson was asked by the man filming how old he was. He simply replied: “I’m 12.”

The pair shared a handshake at the end of the clip as the man said to Johnson that he deserved his award.

Many fans took to social media to express their disbelief over Johnson’s age.

One said: “I’ve had a teammate in football that was 6 ft and he was 11 but u could clearly see he was still a kid. THIS A MAN.”

Another tweeted: “Yeah he not 12. Need to see some birth certificates before the game start.”

A third fan added: “You can’t be 12 with a Steve Harvey moustache.”

Someone else commented: “I’m not saying he’s 12 but the way he no-sold the joke and kept looking around is exactly how a 12-year-old would do it.”

Whilst another person said: “46 at a minimum and still drives an Oldsmobile Delta '88 so he can finish pushing junior through college.”

In Johnson’s defence, one person claimed that she ‘remembered him on 10U’ and that he ‘had a moustache then too’.

Many fans will surely be keeping an eye on Johnson's development with a view that he can become a future star in the NFL.
