Donald Trump makes extremely uncomfortable 'sexual remark' during White House speech with Ohio college football team

Donald Trump made an extremely uncomfortable sexual joke to the Ohio State college football team after welcoming them to the White House.

Following on from a recent appearance from the Los Angeles Dodgers after their baseball World Series triumph, the Ohio State Buckeyes were the latest sports side to get an invite to the White House for their achievements, after they won the National Championship trophy back in January, on Trump's inauguration.

Ohio were ranked eighth in the play-off but reached the finals after wins over Tennessee, Oregon and Texas before picking up 34-23 win over Notre Dame in the final at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

It was their ninth national championship and a first since 2014 and a visit to the President was arranged as a result for head coach Ryan Day and his staff.

Trump was gifted a jersey and a football helmet and praised the Buckeyes for their victory, stating that "the road to greatness is paved by hard work, sweat, and often a great deal of adversity".

However, the 78-year-old caused major controversy with a crude remark he made on the podium. Trump referenced Jack Sawyer’s heroics to secure the win and his reaction afterwards but made an innuendo which had some players laughing but also grimacing expressions.

“He later said that it was the best feeling he'd ever felt. Are you sure about that, Jack?” Trump said.

“I don't know about that. As he gets older, who knows?”

But the comment did not go down well with viewers online, who said it made them feel uncomfortable and showed a lack of "mental maturity.

One user on X wrote: "He's got the mental maturity and intellect of a child.”

A second commented: "This man could give a speech to a kindergarten class and still find a way to make it uncomfortable.”

Another said: "Might be one of those times I’m glad my team didn’t go to the WH."

A final person added: 'Crude and inappropriate, as usual."

JD Vance dropped the trophy won by Ohio State

In another newsworthy incident from the visit, Vice President JD Vance, an Ohio State graduate, dropped the trophy in a comical moment. Luckily no damage was done to the trophy and Vance was able to joke about it afterwards,

Writing to his four million follower on X, Vance said: "I didn’t want anyone after Ohio State to get the trophy so I decided to break it."
