Stephen A. Smith has responded after Jimmy Kimmel's show was taken off the air for a comment made about the killing of Charlie Kirk.
Earlier in the month, conservative activist Kirk was shot while speaking at an event held at Utah Valley University.
The 31-year-old was later pronounced dead and is survived by his wife and two young children.
At the time, President of the USA, Donald Trump, declared that Kirk's death was a 'dark moment for America'.

Meanwhile, former US President Joe Biden wrote on social media: "There is no place in our country for this kind of violence. It must end now. Jill and I are praying for Charlie Kirk’s family and loved ones."
On Monday, late-night host Kimmel came under heavy scrutiny after comments he made about the killing of Kirk.
During his monologue, Kimmel criticised Republicans for how they reacted to Kirk's death.
He said: "The MAGA (Make America Great Again) gang [is] desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."

It was then confirmed that broadcaster ABC had pulled 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' off the air 'indefinitely'.
NBC stated that Kimmel's representatives did not respond to a request for comment.
Trump was quick to applaud ABC's decision, he wrote: "Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done."

Now, NBA pundit Stephen A Smith has also had his say on the decision to pull Kimmel's show.
He said: "Where was the joke? Because you're a late-night host — and obviously that has a comedic attachment to it. Where was the joke? Obviously, it wasn't anything funny about that."

22-year-old Tyler Robinson is the man suspected of killing Kirk and has been charged with aggravated murder, among other counts.
