Shaquille O'Neal 'completely froze' when he came across Hollywood superstar that is his 'GOAT celebrity crush'

Shaquille O'Neal comes across as a pretty smooth operator but it turns out he "froze" when he saw his GOAT celebrity crush in the flesh.

The 7ft 1 giant oozes charisma, so much that he's managed to be successful in so many avenues after his decorated NBA career with the likes of Orlando Magic, LA Lakers and Miami Heat.

Yet there was one specific occasion where he fumbled horribly.

Shaq recently appeared on an episode of Complex's GOAT Talk alongside his son Myles and the duo were required to give their thoughts on a number of debates and topics.

Celebrity crushes was on the agenda and Myles passed on answering.

Shaq was happy too, though he did have an embarrassing story to tell about the time he crumbled in the presence of Halle Berry.

O'Neal was in an elevator at the Four Seasons hotel in Los Angeles when the door opened and Berry walked in.

"My answer is Halle Berry," he said seven minutes into the podcast.

"But hold on, I had a shot one time and I froze," he shared. "So one day I'm at the Four Seasons on Doheny [Los Angeles] and I'm in the elevator. I'm coming up from the bottom and the door opens.

"It's me, D Mac, and the door opens and it's Halle Berry."

Shaq has dealt with pressure on the court but when it came to shoot his shot, he failed miserably.

"All I could hear was 'ding,'" O'Neal recalled.

"But hold on what made it worse, she spoke to me first. 'Oh hello, Shaquille.' So now I got a little woody and I'm just like... [opens mouth wide]. Then it opened and then she fucking walks out. And D Mac like, 'You stupid motherf**ker.' So, Halle Berry... I know she has a little husband, but he won't mind the story."

At least we can take some solace in the fact that it happens to the best.
