NBA star Steph Curry has made his feelings clear on Michael Jordan’s comments about whether he should be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Curry, 36, has turned out for the Golden State Warriors since 2009 and is widely regarded as one of the best shooters to ever play in the NBA.

He is a four-time NBA Champion and has twice been named as the league’s most valuable player.

However, back in 2019, Jordan, 61, had his say on whether he thought that Curry’s career warranted a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Of course, Jordan himself was named in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame back in 2009 alongside legends John Stockton, David Robinson and Jerry Sloan.

The Brooklyn-born icon sports six NBA championships from his time at the Bulls – two more than Curry's current tally.

The Ohio-born player still has the opportunity to catch up with Jordan but has not clinched the NBA title since the 2022 season.

He will not doubt be motivated by Jordan’s comments from 2019.

“He [Steph Curry]'s still a great player,” Jordan told NBC’s Craig Melvin [via Complex].

“Not a Hall of Famer yet, though.”

Of course, fans eagerly awaited Curry’s response, which he gave to Matt Welty during an interview for Sole Collector.

“I think I’m good, but then I’m never complacent,” explained Curry.

“I know I have more to prove to myself. When you hear a guy like that, who’s the greatest of all time, it’s kind of funny.

“Since we’ve been on this stage, we’ve heard a lot of retired guys chiming in on this generation of basketball players and evaluating talent and saying their generation was better and all that.”

“It’s a great conversation for the fans to get in on,” Curry added.

“I know I’m in good shape for that, but I still have a lot to prove to myself.”

Of course, since Jordan’s comments over five years ago, Curry has achieved several accolades. He won the NBA for a fourth time in 2022 and was part of the USA’s gold medal-clinching team at the Paris Olympics in the summer of 2024.
