Michael Jordan was once asked if Scottie Pippen would beat him in a 1 vs 1 match.

Jordan, 62, is one of the most influential athletes of all time and is often labelled as the GOAT of NBA.

During his career, the American played for the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards, winning six NBA championships.

After his retirement, Jordan continued to be one of the biggest sportspersons in the world due to his work with Nike.

Pippen, 59, also won the NBA six times and played for the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, Torpan Pojat and Sundsvall Dragons.

Back in 2013, Jordan was asked whether Pippen would be able to get the better of him in a 1 vs 1 match.

Michael Jordan asked what would happen if he played Scottie Pippen in a 1 vs 1 match

He said to SLAM: "I honestly don't know. I don't know what would happen, but there'd be a lot of talkin' going on. Sometimes we are on opposite teams in practice and go at each other. That's always fun, but my team usually wins.

"I'm telling you, Scottie does a lot of things on the court that amaze me. He moves really well has those long arms and legs, and basically has no weaknesses. Also, he's matured and is confident in his role on this team. At times, he amazes me."

During his playing days, Jordan picked out four players who could beat him in a 1 vs 1 match.

As per Fadeaway World and Jumpmanhistory, Jordan said when asked about his toughest opponents: "The hardest opponent for me to play against? In terms of 1-on-1? Small guys.

"[Allen] Iverson, Damon Stoudamire, Rod Strickland. Those little guards like that, it's tough for me. Muggsy [Bogues]. [John] Starks? No problem with Starks."
