LeBron James reveals 'ruthless' Michael Jordan's stance on the GOAT debate between both NBA icons and why they don't speak

Is LeBron James one of the GOATs of NBA?

LeBron James has revealed why he and NBA legend Michael Jordan 'don't talk' amid the ongoing GOAT debate.

James, 40, is one of the best players of his generation, having won the NBA championship on four occasions.

He has also been named NBA Finals MVP and NBA Most Valuable Player four times.

During his career, James has represented the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.

James, along with the likes of Steph Curry, Kobe Bryant and Jordan are often regarded as some of the best players in NBA history.

Recently speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, James revealed the true stance Jordan has over the GOAT debate, stating the pair don't talk to each other.

"We don't talk," James said. When asked why, he replied "I'm still playing. I'm still focused on my craft right now."

McAfee then questioned: "When you're one, you think you two could have a conversation?"

James replied: "I would hope so. We all know MJ. Even if you don't know him personally, he's one of the most ruthless competitors.

"And till I'm done, and he doesn't have to see me running up and down, wearing the number 23, and every time my name is mentioned, it's mentioned with his, he's like, 'I don't wanna f****** talk to you.'"

James, who owns a minority stake in Premier League giants Liverpool, also touched on his relationship with the late Bryant.

He said: "Me and Kobe [Bryant] never had a real relationship either... We was on the Olympic team, we had a great relationship there. Olympic team '08, Olympic team 12 but it was always competitive between us.

"I was on the East Coast and he was on the West Coast. I f***ed up one time in '09 and didn't beat Orlando and didn't give me the opportunity to play him in the Finals."

James continued: "But until I became a Laker and he retired, that's when our relationship became really really good.

"He welcomed me, called me, like, 'Bro, anything you need in LA, I got you. You're a Laker now, you're family.'"
