UFC fighter Suman Mokhtarian has been shot dead in a suspected gangland attack.
Mokhtarian, who was 33 years old, was reportedly gunned down while 'out for a walk' on a suburban street in Sydney’s west, Australia.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Mokhtarian was shot dead near the corner of Annaluke St and Riverbrae Ave in Riverstone at around 6pm on Wednesday night.
Despite the best efforts from the local paramedic services, Mokhtarian died after being shot in the upper torso.

It has been suggested that Mokhtarian was allegedly the intended victim of a shooting at the Australian Top Team fighting gym at Wentworthville back in February 2024.
After surviving the incident, a planned MMA event Mokhtarian was involved in was cancelled back in April after fears emerged of another potential attempt to take his life.
After the fatal shooting, Riverstone Police Area commander Jason Joyce said: "We believe he may have been out for a walk, but we’re yet to confirm that.
"You’d want to think that in a residential area like that, people could wander the streets at that time of night and be safe, but we do believe it’s a targeted attack."

He added: "It would’ve been a horrific thing to witness and it’s certainly not something we tolerate in the community."
Meanwhile, local MP Federal Attorney-General Michelle Rowland wrote on social media: "My thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones, and I give my sincere thanks to the first responders who attended the scene.
"Our community in Riverstone is full of young families, and this kind of senseless violence is distressing and unacceptable."

Mokhtarian last fought in a UFC event back in 2018 when he was beaten by Sodiq Yusuff in Adelaide.
He was then beaten by Seung Woo Choi in the second UFC bout, at the 'UFC Fight Night: Edgar vs. The Korean Zombie' event in Busan, South Korea.
In total, Mokhtarian held a record of eight wins and two defeats from 10 professional bouts.
