UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has shared a shocking image of his eyes just one day after undergoing double-eye surgery.
Aspinall sustained the injury issue in his undisputed heavyweight title fight against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321 back in October, before the bout was called a no-contest.
The fight lasted just 15 seconds before the Englishman was unable to continue.
Despite Aspinall’s protestations, the poke was deemed accidental. The Atherton fighter quickly explained how his vision became impaired as referee Jason Herzog waved off the fight.

After the clash, Aspinall issued an update on his health, confirming that he had been diagnosed with an eye condition called “significant traumatic bilateral Brown’s syndrome”.
The syndrome is a condition associated with restricted eye movement, usually when a person looks inwards.

The 32-year-old also said that he was still suffering from double vision weeks after the incident.
In late December, Aspinall explained how he had already had surgery on one eye before confirming that a further surgical procedure was planned.
On Tuesday (February 10), the Atherton fighter confirmed that he had undergone surgery on both eyes in a social media post.
The fighter also posted in collaboration with his medical team, with the post captioned: "After his highly publicised eye poke injury, Optegra's expert team is proud to have supported MMA fighter and UFC Heavyweight Champion [Aspinall].
"Over recent months, we've been working closely with him on his recovery. Following his operation on both eyes, we continue the journey to get Tom's vision back to fighting fitness."
Aspinall also posted a photograph of himself alongside the caption: “1 day post surgery”.

He appeared to be wearing sunglasses, which he pulled up to show two eyes, which were red and inflamed.
Fans were also quick to offer their thoughts on social media.
One said: “That’s how my eyes get too when soap gets in them.”
Another added: “Hope he's recovering well.”
A third claimed: “Bro is doing more damage to his eyes than the eye poke ever did.”
While a fourth leapt to his defence: “I don't know why MMA fans switch up on Tom when he got eye poked and not the person doing the eyepoke, lol.”
Aspinall has been linked with a rematch with Gane, although this will be dependent on his recovery.
