Khabib Reacts to Conor McGregor's Ban For Breaking UFC Rules as Detail Spotted

Khabib Nurmagomedov shared a post on social media in the wake of Conor McGregor's UFC suspension.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has reacted to Conor McGregor's suspension after he accepted an 18-month ban for violating the UFC's anti-doping policy.

McGregor missed three attempted biological sample collections within a 12-month period in 2024, according to Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD).

He missed tests on June 13, September 19 and September 20 last year.

UFC athletes must provide accurate whereabouts information at all times so they can be contacted and submit to biological sample collections without warning.

A statement read: "McGregor missed three attempted biological sample collections within a 12-month period in 2024, which constitutes a violation of the UFC ADP. UFC athletes are required to provide accurate whereabouts information at all times, so they can be contacted and submit to biological sample collections without prior warning. McGregor’s missed tests occurred on June 13, September 19, and September 20, 2024, and were each classified as Whereabouts Failures by CSAD under the UFC ADP.

"Although McGregor failed to make himself available for testing on those dates, CSAD noted that he was recovering from an injury and was not preparing for an upcoming fight at the time of the three missed tests. McGregor fully cooperated with CSAD’s investigation, accepted responsibility, and provided detailed information that CSAD determined contributed to the missed tests."

McGregor's suspension will conclude on March 20, meaning he will be able to fight on the proposed UFC White House card, having confirmed his opponent.

Naturally, his ban garnered plenty of attention online, including from his nemesis Nurmagomedov, who shared a post on social media in the wake of his former rival's violation.

He reposted the news of McGregor's ban on Instagram and ruthlessly cropped his face out of the post.

Nurmagomedov's subtle dig comes just days after the seven-year anniversary of their epic title fight at UFC 229 on October 6, 2018.

The Russian superstar defended his UFC title on two more occasions before retiring from MMA.

As for McGregor, he has only fought three times since his submission defeat.

He beat Donald Cerrone before losing back-to-back fights against Dustin Poirier.

The Irishman was due to return to the famed Octagon last year when he was matched against Michael Chandler.

But he was forced to withdraw after suffering an injury in his training camp.
