Joe Rogan has revealed the worst guest he's ever had on his show after thousands of episodes.

The voice of UFC is also the host of one of the most popular podcasts in the world, The Joe Rogan Experience.

He typically releases several episodes a week and has recorded more than 2,300 episodes to date, hosting a variety of guests including President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

But during an episode earlier this year, Rogan revealed the guest that he found most challenging.

In May, he spoke with NFL star Aaron Rodgers about a variety of topics, including Egyptian history. This gave Rogan the chance to talk about his least enjoyable guest; archaeologist and Egyptian government minister Dr. Zahi Hawass.

Rogan and Hawass had discussed Egyptian pyramids for two hours, which many viewers felt Rogan himself found boring.

During the episode, Rogan admitted: “That might have been the worst podcast I’ve ever done, but maybe a good one too."

The American podcast host explained that Hawass appeared on the show after the archaeologist ended a feud with British author Graham Hancock.

Rogan continued: "That was one of the reasons why Zahi came on because Graham talked to Zahi and was like 'Zahi wants to do this, we're friends now'.

"So I was like 'Bring him in, let's go bring him in, I'll talk to him.'"

That clip has recently circulated again on social media after YouTuber and wrestler Logan Paul discussed it on his podcast, Impaulsive.

Paul said: "Do you remember the guy who went on Joe Rogan?

"He's a super famous Egyptologist. He's Egyptian, he's the guy who digs up the mummies. I don't know his name, he's a doctor.

Paul's co-host then replied: "I think Joe Rogan might have said to me, he's the worst guest he ever had on the show."

Paul responded: "Well, because Rogan was pressing him about what could be, and he's like, 'no it's impossible there's aliens out there'.

"And it's like, 'is it impossible?'"

The Joe Rogan Experience has been exclusive to Spotify since 2020.

Last year, the streaming service extended that agreement, signing a huge deal that could be worth up to $250 million.

Spotify said bringing Rogan's podcast to the platform has had a huge impact, boosting the overall podcast consumption through the streaming service.

Rogan is also colour commentator for the UFC, having been a keen MMA fan since he was a teenager.

Through his work with the promotion, he has also developed a friendship with UFC president Dana White.
