Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou has spoken about the fatal motorcycle crash that he was involved in.
Last month, it was reported in Cameroon that the ex-UFC star was driving a motorcycle that hit and killed a young woman in the district of Yaounde.
Ngannou reportedly helped the 17-year-old girl get to the hospital and provided financial support as she received medical care.
However, the young girl passed away due to the injuries she suffered in the accident.
It has been suggested that the crash took place during Easter weekend, and as claimed by the Daily Mail, the victim 'was identified as Ntsama Brigitte Manuella according to local reports'.
Now, as reported by TMZ Sports, Ngannou has given an official statement on the matter.

He said: "From the very beginning, I have been by the family's side, offering support, comfort, and deepest condolences during this time.
"I've met with them privately to share in their grief, and I will continue to stand with them every step of the way."
Ngannou went to say that he was not able to discuss the accident in more detail as an investigation is currently ongoing.
He added: "I carry their pain with me, and my unwavering thoughts and support remain with them as they face this heartbreaking loss."

38-year-old Ngannou last fought back in October 2024 when he made his Professional Fighters League (PFL) debut.
The Cameroonian was up against 2023 PFL Heavyweight Champion and PFL Champions vs Bellator Champions title holder Renan Ferreira.
Ngannou came away victorious after winning the fight via a knockout in the first round.
Since leaving the UFC, Ngannou has shared the ring with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua as he stepped into the world of boxing.
Back in April 2024, Ngannou endured his own personal loss after revealing the sudden death of his 15-month-old son Kobe.
