UFC fighter speaks out after Dana White ruthlessly cuts him from roster despite winning last bout

He exits the UFC even though he won his last fight at UFC Abu Dhabi.

A UFC fighter who was ruthlessly released from the roster despite securing a win in his last fight has spoken out.

The UFC returned to the Middle East last weekend as the promotion set up shop in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for a fight night event.

Reinier de Ridder outpointed former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker by split decision in the main-event, while Petr Yan beat Marcus McGhee in the co-main event.

Elsewhere on the card, Sharabutdin Magomedov returned to the win column following his defeat to Michael 'Venom' Page, Asu Almabayev edged out Jose Ochoa and Bogdan Guskov stopped Nikita Krylov to enter the UFC light-heavyweight rankings.

There were also big winners on the undercard as Bryce Mitchell defeated Said Nurmagomedov and Muslim Salikhov destroyed Carlos Leal Miranda in 40-seconds.

Martin Buday picked up a win, too, as he opened the Abu Dhabi show.

He beat Marcus Buchecha by unanimous decision to record his seventh victory inside the famed Octagon, having earned his shot with the MMA leaders after beating Lorenzo Wood on Dana White's Contender Series.

Even though the Slovakian beat Buchecha in Abu Dhabi, he has been let go by Dana White and the UFC.

According to MMA Fighting, Buday fought out his UFC deal and the promotion elected not to re-sign the ranked heavyweight.

He exits the roster as the No.12 ranked UFC heavyweight.

It comes as a surprise given the shallow division and the fact that he won seven of his eight UFC bouts.

After news emerged online, Buday took to social media to confirm the UFC opted not to offer him a new contract.

On X, he wrote: "Yeah its true, yesterday we got a call that @ufc is not resigning us for the moment... well it is what it is atleast [sic] im leaving with my head up. Thank you."

As mentioned, Buday won seven of his eight UFC contests, beating the likes of Chris Barnett, Jake Collier and Andrei Arlovski, with his lone UFC defeat coming at the hands of Shamil Gaziev.

With the 33-year-old departing the UFC, he could look to return to OKTAGON MMA or sign for the likes of PFL or KSW.
