Fans think Conor McGregor is 'done' after watching uncomfortable interview during Day of Reckoning

Fans think Conor McGregor is done after watching his interview during boxing’s Day of Reckoning event.

On Saturday night, some of the world’s biggest sports stars were present at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The headliners of the night were Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, with the Brit beating Otto Wallin after Wilder suffered a shock defeat against Joseph Parker.

UFC superstar McGregor was ringside as he sat next to football great Cristiano Ronaldo.

Fans were then quick to make their opinions clear on the Irishman after he did an interview with talkSPORT.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “How you age 20 years in 3?…..”

Another tweeted: “You'd never believe this guy has 1 win in 7 years with the way he talks himself up.”

A third fan added: “He’s aged, he’s done.”

Someone else wrote: “He lost the will to fight after the Mayweather fight. Made generational wealth and any come back mentioned is just hot air.”

A fifth commented: “This guy won’t fight again and if he does he loses.”

Speaking during the interview, McGregor said: “Get me back in there. The Mac has lots to offer and loads to deliver.

“For all the figures I’ve brought in this game, I sell more than all of them combined.”

He added: “No one in the history of the fight game has been treated the way I’ve been getting treated at this minute.

“From what I came through, to what I bring. They f****** should open the floodgates for me. I’m waiting! And my patience is wearing thin on me waiting.”

On a potential fight with Manny Pacquaio, McGregor said: “They are talking Manny here in Saudi. The lads in the UFC aren’t really talking any. So, the lads here are talking Manny, the UFC aren’t talking any.

“Give me something. I’m supposed to be back in April. It was supposed to be December!”
