Conor McGregor and Jake Gyllenhaal had an arm wrestle ahead of the release of Road House.

Conor McGregor challenged Jake Gyllenhaal to an arm wrestle with his WEAK arm and it produced a hilarious result.

McGregor and Gyllenhaal have been in full swing promoting the movie Road House, which premieres on Amazon Prime this week.

In January, a teaser trailer for the remake of the 1989 movie showed a glimpse of McGregor's acting.

The MMA superstar, who gave a bombshell interview about his UFC return, claims he did all his own stunts.

"I done all my own stunts," he wrote in a now-deleted post on X. "I was thrown off a speeding boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and dragged through the sea underwater holding on to the anchor.

"Among a few crazy stunts I done. The movie is wild action! Glad the trailer is out and we can't wait to bring her home! World tour starting soon.โ€

Ahead of the release, McGregor and Gyllenhaal took part in a friendly arm wrestle which ended in a lop-sided win.

But there was a catch. The 'Notorious' wasn't allowed to use his favoured left arm as he challenged the Hollywood actor with his right arm.

Gyllenhaal laid out the stipulation, saying: "If he uses his left arm and I get to use my right arm, then I think I might be able to win."

The Road House stars laid on their front before engaging in an arm wrestle.

McGregor and Gyllenhaal slithered across the floor while dogs roamed around the set, licking their faces in a bizarre yet hilarious sequence.

The former UFC double champion eventually pinned his co-star's arm to the floor to claim victory.

After the duel, they both laughed and shared an embrace, with Gyllenhaal saying: "That was straight up grappling... that was not an arm wrestle."

McGregor will be hoping for the same result when he eventually makes his Octagon return.
