Paddy Pimblett has sent a brutal dig at Bobby Green after he officially changed his name ahead of their big fight at UFC 304.

Pimblett, unbeaten in five UFC fights, returns to action this month as he faces Green in a huge lightweight clash at UFC 304 in Manchester, England.

Green enters the bout having beat Jim Miller at UFC 300 as he will look to inflict the first defeat of Pimblett's UFC career.

And ahead of going to battle with the Liverpool star, the veteran American has legally changed his name.

For years, his nickname has been 'King'.

But the 37-year-old's moniker is now his actual name - it appears he will now go by King Green.

Pimblett caught wind of Green's name change and fired a savage swipe on social media.

He wrote: "This mushroom has actually changed his name to King. So yous can officially call me the Kingslayer on July 28."

If 'The Baddy' can slay Green, then it'll mark the sixth win of his budding UFC career.

The 29-year-old already boasts victories over Luigi Vendramini, Rodrigo Vargas, Jordan Leavitt, Jared Gordon and MMA legend Tony Ferguson.

But he'll have a worthy opponent opposite him as Green has enjoyed a stellar UFC spell, having had a staggering 25 fights inside the famed Octagon.

He's beaten the likes of Ferguson, Al Iaquinta, Clay Guida and Josh Thomson, among others.

Pimblett vs. Green is set to be placed on the main-card of UFC 304, which goes down on July 27.

The Manchester card is headlined by Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad for the UFC welterweight championship.

And in the co-main event, Tom Aspinall defends his interim UFC heavyweight title against Curtis Blaydes.
