Joe Rogan Reveals What Happened for First Time in His 28 Year Career at UFC 323

Joe Rogan has revealed the career-first that took place at UFC 323 after 28 years in the industry

UFC 323 was a thrilling affair, with Petr Yan coming out on top against Merab Dvalishvili via unanimous decision in the main event.

Joshua Van secured a TKO victory over Alexandre Pantoja, and Tatsuro Taira stormed to victory against Brandon Moreno further down the card.

That is not all, though. In the opening match of the main card, 42-year-old fighter Jan Błachowicz proved that age is but a number.

He secured a hard-fought majority draw against Bogdan Guskov to show he still has what it takes to fight at the highest level.

The result of the bout did cause some confusion for UFC favourite Joe Rogan.

Traditionally, the popular podcast host enters the octagon after the fight in order to interview the winner of the contest.

However, on this occasion, he was sent back to his seat in the commentary booth due to there being no winner to talk to.

Rogan revealed that this was the first time he’d been turned away after rejoining his co-commentators Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik.

“That’s never happened,” he said during the broadcast of UFC 323.

Van won the co-main event after Pantoja appeared to suffer a dislocated shoulder.

UFC reporter Megan Olivi confirmed that Pantoja had suffered a dislocation, but revealed that the joint popped back into place on its own. “I spoke to the UFC’s chief medical physician, Dr. Jeff Davidson,” she said.

“He told me Pantoja had a left shoulder dislocation with spontaneous reduction.

“What that essentially means is his shoulder was dislocated, but went back into place on its own.

“On Monday, in Florida, he will go for additional imaging to see the extent of the damage or if there is other damage that has been incurred, and then he will meet with an orthopedic doctor as well.”

Rogan was stunned by the remarkable moment. “It doesn’t even make sense,” Rogan added. “You saw his shoulder literally leave the joint.”
