Brendan Schaub Ridiculed on Podcast for Wild Moon Landing Comment

Brendan Schaub has made one of his biggest blunders yet

Former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub has enjoyed a successful transition to podcasting, but he had a moment to forget during an appearance on The Golden Hour.

The 42-year-old shot to fame after appearing on the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter before going on to make his UFC debut against Roy Nelson in 2009.

The Colorado-born star called time on his UFC career in 2014 after suffering back-to-back defeats against Andrei Arlovski and Travis Browne at UFC 174 and UFC 181.

He stepped away from the octagon with a solid record of 10-5-0, having defeated the likes of Mirko Cro Cop and Matt Mitrione.

Schaub has since proven that there are several strings to his bow, making a splash as a podcaster, television host, and stand-up comedian.

However, his extensive experience in front of the camera could not save him from being mocked for a bizarre moment on The Golden Hour podcast.

He referred to the moon landing as the 'land mooning', before suggesting that members of the public are increasingly starting to believe in conspiracy theories.

Schaub hinted that the United States government may be prepared to lie about the assassination of John F. Kennedy as well as the finer details of the USA’s war in Vietnam.

“He also believes in the land mooning,” said Schaub, attempting to mock his podcast co-host Chris D'elia.

“The landing on the moon, Jesus Christ, all this diet coke is f****** up my brain.

“You should, though [care about if the US Government lied about the moon landing], because if they are going to lie about that, what else are they lying about.

“JFK, there’s a whole history there, Vietnam.”

Kennedy’s assassination has been the subject of several conspiracy theories over the years.

Schaub believes the government’s old fashioned approach is fuelling people’s reliance on conspiracy theories.

“People are not going to let it go [the question of who killed JFK],” he added as the interview progressed.

“The government is still operating like it is the 1990s.

“What they don’t realise is that with the internet in this day and age, they are never going to let it go.

“You have to address it.”

This is not the first time he has made the headlines for his outrageous comments.

Schaub was scolded after he reacted to the viral fight between Raja Jackson and Stuart Smith.
