New angle of Nate Diaz brawl emerges shows the full chaos that went down

Further footage of Nate Diaz choking out a Logan Paul lookalike has been posted online amid an arrest warrant being put out.

New footage showing the full fight involving Nate Diaz has emerged online after a warrant was put out for the arrest of the former UFC star.

On Friday night Diaz was at the XULA Convention Center in New Orleans to watch his teammate Chris Avila get the better of Paul Bamba in the penultimate bout on the Misfits Boxing 6 card.

Diaz had initially been ringside but ended up being escorted from the arena after throwing a bottle at former footballer and reality TV star Chase DeMoor, who was disqualified from his fight after punching his opponent while he was on the canvas.

But then afterwards, a video of Diaz brawling on Bourbon Street was posted and went viral. The 38-year-old completely choked out Rodney Petersen, a Logan Paul lookalike with a blue belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu, leaving him unconscious on the floor before sprinting away from the scene.

Another angle shared by MMA reporter Ariel Helwani shows a large group of people fighting in the street.

Petersen is seen walking over to Diaz, who knees him in the stomach while other individuals strike him.

With the police trying to separate other scuffles, Diaz then performed a guillotine choke that he put many opponents away with inside the Octagon.

Petersen, who was left with a nasty and bloody head injury from his fall, took to Instagram to address the fight and vowed to get revenge on Diaz.

“So, I don’t know what the hell I did to Nate Diaz,” he said.

“But I tell you what, I’m going to knock him the f–k out when I know he’s coming. You caught me off-guard dude. What’d you think I was Logan?”

Diaz has been charged with second degree battery, an offence that could result in a punishment of up to eight years in prison, a $2,000 fine or a combination of the two, in the state of Louisiana.

A warrant for his arrest has been issued by New Orleans police, who say Diaz is not yet in their custody.

A statement read: “At or about 2:10am on Saturday April 22- NOPD’s Bourbon Street. Promenade officers and supervisors were alerted to a large altercation in the 400 block of Bourbon St.

“The officers were able to disperse the crowd. Witness alerted the officers to a white male subject who was believed to be unconscious. A short time later, the subject regained consciousness. Officers observed the subject was bleeding from the rear of his head and EMS was summoned to render aid. After investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Nate Diaz. He has been charged with second degree battery. He is not in custody at this time.”

Diaz had his last fight in UFC against Tony Ferguson in September and is scheduled to take on Jake Paul in his boxing debut on August 5.

Recent events could scupper that match-up, however. Paul, who spoofed the outside altercation, has accepted KSI's offer to step in as a replacement, which prompted a reaction from Diaz.
