Khabib Nurmagomedov didn't just beat up Conor McGregor physically when the pair met at UFC 229, in October 2018, but also he won the verbal contest during the fight.

It might be nearly three years since Khabib and McGregor met inside the octagon, how time flies, after an incredibly intense and ever growing rivalry outside the cage.
The rivalry hasn't even ended since the fight, post fight fight and even the fact that the Russian has now retired, with his undefeated record still in tact.
Last week Khabib courted controversy when he said he felt 'ring girls' were the most 'useless' part of UFC events. McGregor replied in typical fashion, by mocking his rival with a Simpsons' meme.
However one fan of the retired MMA fighter hit back with his own reply, posting a video that shows Nurmagomedov hitting his opponent with physical and verbal shots during their fight.
Khabib can be heard saying "What happened? Let's talk now. Let's talk, inside the cage," as he rains down strikes on the Notorious.

Whilst the rivalry continues online, it's likely that the physical rivalry between the Eagle and his former opponent is long gone, but there is a future rivalry brewing for McGregor.
YouTuber turned professional boxer Jake Paul has called out the Irishman on several occasions, and openly mocked him for his second loss to Dustin Poirier in a few months back in July.
The American went to 4-0 in his boxing career last weekend, when he defeated former UFC champion Tyron Woodley with a split decision victory.
McGregor has largely ignored Paul, and his numerous call outs, and he wasn't ready to give the 24-year-old any recognition when asked what he thought of the win over Woodley.

Paul really took a page out of the McGregor book after his latest victory, which was the first time that he'd been taken all the way to a decision by an opponent, when he retired after the fight.
Copying the world's most famous UFC fighter, Paul then changed his mind just one day later to update his status as 'coming out of retirement.'
It seems inevitable that the two brash, loud mouthed, fighters will eventually face each other in the boxing ring, but they both have a lot to learn from Khabib.
