Jon Anik has quickly become one of the most loved commentators in all of sport.

While he remains fairly new on the scene in contrast to others, his sheer passion and immaculate timing has seen him emerge as an elite play-caller.

And at UFC 287, Anik was in fine form cageside.

The 44-year-old was so excited and stunned by Israel Adesanya's knockout of Alex Pereira that he actually fell off his seat.

The UFC has now posted the previously-unseen footage onto social media and fans are loving it.

After the vicious KO, when Adesanya was standing over Pereira's limp body and firing imaginary arrows into his chest, the UFC's commentary team went into meltdown.

Daniel Cormier simply sat back in amazement, Joe Rogan did his usual roar from the bottom of his lungs and Anik was scrambling to produce yet another one of his iconic one-liners.

But during the chaos erupting inside the arena, Anik sprung up to his feet but was toppled off balance when Rogan leaned on him.

It was enough to send poor old Anik falling off his seat and onto the deck.

Completely unfazed, he swiftly returned to his seat where he delivered a brilliant piece of commentary into the mic.

"Israel Adesanya can finally lay claim to a win over Alex Pereira... WHO'S OUT COLD!" he yelled.

Overall, it made for an iconic sequence of events.

And when the UFC's social media team posted the clip to Twitter, it went nuts with fans quick to heap praise on the respected MMA commentator.

One person commented: "Jon Anik is an absolute goat."

As another added: "I love how Jon can be that professional and passionate at the same time. Didn't miss a beat on the call."

While a third pointed out: "Rogan pushed Anik out of his seat."

Even Anik himself chimed in, responding to the post with a laughing emoji as well as a face palm one.
